SUPERVISION AND COORDINATION

Tashkent Islamic Civilization Center

Where Heritage Meets Modernity

Located in the heart of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent Islamic Civilization Center is a landmark project that reflects the rich historical, scientific, and spiritual heritage of the Uzbek people. Built on an area of 45,000 m², the center aims to become a global hub for the study and promotion of Islamic culture, history, and education. It houses eight thematic galleries within a 6,000 m² museum, a conference hall, a library, and national archives, showcasing treasures such as the Samarkand Kufic Qur’an, one of the world’s oldest Qur’an manuscripts dating back to the 7th or 8th century. Aligned with Uzbekistan’s vision of a “Third Renaissance,” this forward-looking project seeks to strengthen the country’s cultural identity by promoting enlightenment, research, and international collaboration.
