This project involves the surveying, restoration and restitution work of 24 registered examples of civil architecture located in Istanbul Fatih District, Neslişah and Hatice Sultan Neighborhoods. Its purpose is the revival and protection of these historical buildings, as well as their transfer to future generations.

Restoration – Reconstruction
Surveying: Firstly, the surveying work of the registered examples of civil architecture was carried out. This process allowed the detailed documentation of the state of the structures. Surveying is an important step for understanding the original features of a structure and to create the base of the restoration process.
Restoration: In order to protect the historical features and architectural characteristics of the structures, restoration works have been done. During the restoration process, damaged or degenerated parts of the structures were restored and their original appearances were recreated. By using traditional construction techniques and materials in the restoration process, it was aimed to protect historical values.
Restitution: For returning the historical structures to their original state, restitution works were carried out within the project. Restitution is a process carried out according to the original state and details of the structure in the past. This way, restoration of the historical structures according to their original state was aimed at.
Protection and Transfer to Future Generations: The project has the purpose of protecting the registered examples of civil architecture, along with their transfer to future generations. Restoration and restitution works are important steps for protecting the value of these historical structures and transferring these structures to future generations. This way, Istanbul’s historical legacy and cultural wealth are being preserved in a way that makes it possible for future generations to explore them with pleasure.
This project has great importance in terms of the revival of historical structures and the protection of Istanbul’s cultural legacy. With the surveying, restoration and restitution of the registered civil architecture examples in Neslişah and Hatice Sultan Neighborhoods, the traces of the past are being carried towards the future and these valuable structures shed light on the past for future generations.
